Nixon Peabody LLP Expands Intellectual Property Practice in Chicago

Georgia C. Evans, Patent Attorney, Joins Chicago Office
Chicago, IL – Nixon Peabody LLP, a leading U.S. law firm, further establishes its presence in the Chicago market with the arrival of Georgia C. Evans. Ms. Evans, an associate in the firm’s Technology and Intellectual Property Practice Group, is relocating to Nixon Peabody’s Chicago office.
Ms. Evans is an experienced attorney who provides counsel on prosecution cases primarily in the fields of biotechnology and chemistry. She has prosecuted applications involving novel compositions, drug delivery systems, diagnostic assays, molecular techniques and processes, transgenic organisms, pharmaceutical and industrial compounds and compositions, glasses and glass ceramics. Additionally, Ms. Evans has extensive experience in patent interferences, licensing and other transactional matters, client counseling matters, and patent litigation.

Ms. Evans is originally from Rochester, New York. She earned her J.D. cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Law, where she was the Note and Comment Editor of the Buffalo Law Review, and received her B.A. in chemistry from Binghamton University. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
