New York, NY -- Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC announced today that Stefan C. Grant, M.D., has joined the firm as a shareholder in its Intellectual Property Section. Previously practicing at an intellectual property law firm, Grant also spent several years as general counsel of a publicly traded pharmaceutical company.
Grant focuses his practice on the issues faced by clients in the biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, biomedical and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to beginning the practice of law, Grant was an attending physician at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and an assistant professor of medicine at Cornell University Medical School.
Buchanan's New York managing partner Ellen Shapiro explains, "With his background in both law and medicine, Grant offers clients the unique advantage of combined legal and scientific knowledge. He will be a huge asset to the firm and our clients."
This latest addition comes on the heels of two seasoned intellectual property litigators in New York — Connie Huttner and Ryan Farley — who joined the firm earlier this year and last month, respectively.
