Patent Granted for Migo Software Content Synchronization and Virtualization Technology

Wednesday, November 28, 2007

Newly Patented Technology Provides a Method of Securely Moving and Synchronizing Content between Computer Devices

Redwood City, CA -- Migo Software, Inc. (OTCBB: MIGO), a global provider of content mobility software, today announced that the US Patent and Trademark Office has issued patent number 7,299,422, titled System and Method for Transferring Personalization Information Among Computer Systems, to Migo Software for its mobile content synchronization and virtualization technology. Already in use in the market, the patent covers a method for transferring personalization information among PCs. The Company has a portfolio of additional patent applications pending.

"Migo Software has long recognized the need for easy-to-use, secure means of content transport, use and synchronization, and that need becomes increasingly important for today’s highly mobile technology user laden with multiple devices," said Migo Software Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Jay Elliot. "Our patented technology provides that user a means of carrying his PC in a pocket on any number of mobile storage devices, which can then be inserted into a guest PC, transforming it into their own virtual PC. And knowing that security is of paramount importance, the software is designed to protect the user by leaving no trace of any data on the host PC," concluded Elliot.

Migo’s new patented technology is currently shipping with OEM customers, such as Kingston Technologies, Hewlett-Packard, and others. Specifically, these OEMs are shipping MigoSync, a product which enables users to transform any portable storage device, such as a USB Drive, an SD card, a card enabled mobile iPod, and a PSP or flash memory drive into a private, mobile PC by synchronizing folders, files, emails, Internet settings, multimedia content, desktop "look and feel" and more to the portable device for easy and highly secure access to that data on any PC.
