Six Associates Join the Minneapolis Office of Fish & Richardson P.C.

Minneapolis MN -- Fish & Richardson P.C. has announced that six new associates – Jianguang Du, Krista Krahn, Michael Mischnick, Rebecca Shult, áine Skow, and Jason Zucchi – have joined the firm’s Minneapolis office.
Jianguang Du is an associate in the firm’s Patent Prosecution Group. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked at 3M as an engineer in the corporate R&D department and later in the corporate IP department. Mr. Du received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the William Mitchell College of Law in 2007 where he was a staff member of the William Mitchell Law Review and his Ph.D. in materials science and engineering from the University of Michigan in 2000. He received his M.E. (1994) and B.E. (1992) in materials engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing. He is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
Krista Krahn is an associate in both the Litigation and Patent Prosecution Groups at the firm. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was a process engineer for Procter & Gamble. Ms. Krahn received her J.D. in 2007 from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, cum laude, where she was the Business Manager of the University of Pittsburgh Journal of Law and Commerce and a Foreign Language Area Studies Fellow. She received her B.S. in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in 1999. Ms. Krahn is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
Michael R. Mischnick is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was a patent agent for the Beem Patent Law Firm in Chicago. Mr. Mischnick received his J.D. in 2007 from the University of Minnesota Law School where he was a Research and Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review. He received his B.S. in chemical engineering, with distinction, from Iowa State University in 2001. Mr. Mischnick is admitted to practice in Minnesota and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Rebecca L. Shult is an associate in the Litigation Group at the firm. Ms. Shult received her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2007 from Pepperdine University of Law where she was a Lead Articles Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review. She received her M.S. in medical device and diagnostic engineering in 2004 and her B.S. in biomedical-mechanical engineering in 2003 from the University of Southern California. Ms. Shult is admitted to practice in Minnesota. She also is named as an inventor of pending patent "Impedance Monitoring for Detecting Pulmonary Edema and Thoracic Congestion."
áine Skow is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was a medical writer for 3M Pharmaceuticals. Ms. Skow received her J.D., magna cum laude, in 2007 from the University of Minnesota Law School where she was an Articles Editor for the Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology. She received her M.S. in biotechnology from Northwestern University in 2001 and her B.S. in biology, magna cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame in 2000. Ms. Skow is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
Jason M. Zucchi is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Group. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he was a human relations instructor for Washington Mutual. Mr. Zucchi received his J.D. in 2007, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School where he was a Minnesota Law Review Note and Comment Editor. He received his B.S. in psychology and behavioral science and law, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin in 2002. Mr. Zucchi is admitted to practice in Minnesota.
