Vignette Awarded Several Patents for Web Experience Innovation

Austin, TX -- Vignette (Nasdaq: VIGN), a leading provider of Next-Generation Web solutions, today announced it has received three U.S. patents to add to its portfolio of innovation around Web Experience. The following patents were granted by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office during the fourth quarter of 2007:

U.S. Patent no. 7,278,105- This patent allows for the tracking and visual analysis of a site visit. Enterprise marketing organizations rely on this technology to measure traffic flow and provide detailed reports on the effectiveness of their Web site.
U.S. Patent no. 7,293,070- This patent addresses the portability of Web components between portals. This particular technology, a long-time feature of Vignette Portal, enables customers to develop a unique Web experience and deploy it in multiple locations or instances.
U.S. Patent no. 7,287,071- The intellectual property in this patent is a key feature of the Vignette WebCapture product. This technology allows users to literally capture, store and play back a complete Web interaction. The data can then be recalled to help resolve disputes via the call center, prove fraudulent claims, learn behavioral patterns of visitors or audit transactions.
