Melissa J. Pytel Rejoins Merchant & Gould’s Minneapolis Office

Minneapolis, MN -- Intellectual property law firm Merchant & Gould announced that Melissa J. Pytel has rejoined the firm as Of Counsel in its Minneapolis office. Melissa spent the last five years as a Senior Patent Attorney with Human Genome Science, Inc.
Previously, Melissa spent nearly seven years with Merchant & Gould beginning as a summer associate and then as an associate. She has over twelve years of experience in patent prosecution, infringement counseling, and development of corporate intellectual property strategies. She also has technical expertise in medical devices, molecular biology, methods of treatment, diagnostic methods and manufacturing processes. She graduated from the University of Illinois - College of Law in 1995 and also holds a B.S. in Biology and a M.S. in Biochemistry, both from the University of Illinois.
