Dickstein Shapiro LLP Continues Growth of Intellectual Property Practice with Additions of Jeffrey Sherwood and Frank Cimino, Jr.

Washington, DC -- Continuing the growth of its nationally recognized Intellectual Property Practice, Dickstein Shapiro LLP is pleased to announce the additions of Jeffrey Sherwood and Frank Cimino, Jr. as partners to the firm’s 80-attorney practice. Mr. Sherwood is a highly regarded trial lawyer with extensive experience as lead counsel in a wide variety of intellectual property matters. Mr. Cimino focuses on patent litigation and has handled dozens of complex patent cases for major companies and joint defense groups in courts nationwide. Together, their litigation capabilities encompass patent infringement, trademark, copyright, and trade secret claims in a variety of industries, including the electrical arts, telecommunications, automotive, chemical arts, computer and Internet applications, and textile manufacture industries.

Mr. Sherwood has practiced law for nearly 30 years, and most recently was a partner and leading trial lawyer in the intellectual property litigation practice of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP. He has had trial verdicts recognized by the National Law Journal as being among the best in the United States. Mr. Sherwood received his J.D. from Stanford University and his undergraduate degree from Colby College.

Mr. Cimino, who also was a partner in the intellectual property litigation practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld LLP, has practiced law for more than 10 years. One of his recent cases was featured in the National Law Journal’s "2007 Defense Hot List" article. Mr. Cimino received his J.D., cum laude, from the Baltimore School of Law. He also holds two engineering degrees, having received an M.S. in electrical engineering from the Johns Hopkins University and a B.S., cum laude, in mechanical engineering from Drexel University.
