@hand Awarded Patents for Mobile Software Technology

Austin, TX -- @hand Corporation, the leader in enterprise mobility software, announces the award of two patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The inventions describe @hand’s unique ability to support distributed software applications with intelligent mobile data models and a relationship-aware transaction framework.
The awarded patents include U.S. Patent No. 7,331,035, which describes a "system and method for mobile software application development and deployment" and U.S. Patent No. 7,313,782, which describes a "method for distributing, integrating, and hosting a software platform." The patent applications were filed in 2001.
"These patents provide clear evidence of @hand’s role as a technical innovator and thought leader in our industry," according to John Cannington, Chief Executive Officer for @hand. "Many forward-thinking organizations have recognized the unique qualities of @hand software, and our patents further reinforce and protect the distinctiveness of our products."
Both patents pertain to capabilities of the @hand M-Tier Platform, which serves as the underlying software architecture for all @hand solutions. @hand’s M-Tier technology manages core software services such as data distribution, mobile transaction processing, mobile application deployment, application versioning, and security.
