Patent Litigator Rahul Das Joins Townsend’s Washington, DC Office

Associate Brings Additional Patent Litigation Expertise To Rapidly Growing Washington, DC Office
Washington, DC -- Townsend and Townsend and Crew LLP, an intellectual property law firm of more than 230 attorneys and patent professionals, announced today that Rahul Das has joined the firm as an associate in the Litigation Group. Mr. Das is the latest addition to Townsend’s Washington, DC office, which has grown to 16 attorneys in less than a year since its July 2007 launch.
Das’s practice focuses on patent litigation, with an emphasis on chemical cases and ANDA cases arising under the Hatch-Waxman Act. He has experience counseling both brand and generic pharmaceutical companies. He also has extensive experience in patent prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and client counseling in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and mechanical fields. In addition, Das has significant experience in the preparation of patentability, validity/invalidity, non-infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions. He has also conducted pre-acquisition Intellectual Property due diligence investigations.

Das received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in chemical engineering.
