Tom Williams Joins Howrey’s Chicago Office

Chicago, IL -- Howrey LLP has announced that Thomas M. Williams has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in the Intellectual Property group where his litigation practice will focus on trademark and unfair competition matters.
His practice includes trademark prosecution and counseling. He consistently represents his clients in federal district and appellate courts, and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the USPTO. He has also represented clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
Mr. Williams also has extensive experience representing clients with both traditional trademarks and non-traditional marks, including trade dress, color marks, and sound marks. He has successfully represented brand owners in domain name disputes under the UDRP and ACPA.

Mr. Williams received his BA in Behavioral Sciences and Law from the University of Wisconsin, and his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was a member of the University of Illinois Law Review.
