Wednesday, August 27, 2008

New York, NY -- Klausner Technologies, Inc. announced today that it has filed suit against Verizon's Verizon Wireless and LG Electronics Mobilecomm USA, Inc. for patent infringement.

The lawsuit asserts that the Verizon Wireless's Visual Voicemail services and LG's Voyager cellphone infringe Klausner Technologies' U.S. Patent. 5,572,576.

Klausner Technologies has, to date, granted visual voicemail licenses under the same patent to 11 other companies, including wireless network service providers, cell phone manufacturers and VOIP providers.

The suit has been filed in a federal court in the eastern district of Texas by the California law firm of Dovel & Luner.

Klausner Technologies, was founded by Judah Klausner, the inventor of the PDA and the electronic organizer. It owns patents, worldwide, covering next generation visual voicemail services in which subscribers are able to view and selectively retrieve individual voice messages via their PC or cell phone inboxes.
