Patent Litigator Jimmy Shin Joins Sonnenschein in Silicon Valley

Palo Alto, CA -- Highly regarded patent litigator Jimmy Shin has joined Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP as a partner in its Silicon Valley office, the law firm announced today. Shin, whose practice focuses on patent infringement litigation before the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and the federal district courts, comes to Sonnenschein from McDermott Will & Emery.
Shin concentrates on patent infringement litigation involving semiconductor devices, computer hardware and software, digital signal processing, telecommunications networks and optical technologies. Among the companies he has represented are Aristocrat Technologies, Creative Labs, Linear Technology, Metrologic Instruments and Trend Micro.

Shin received a J.D. degree from Harvard Law School and a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
