Stuart I. Smith Joins Williams Mullen

McLean, VA -- Williams Mullen announces that Stuart I. Smith has joined its Intellectual Property Practice Group as a partner in the Tysons Corner, VA office. Mr. Smith focuses his practice on the full service management of his clients’ patent portfolios. Mr. Smith is particularly skilled in the preparation, filing and prosecution of patent applications, and clients regularly call on his judgment when determining which inventions should be patented and maintained. His broad experience includes over a decade of legal work with patents in technologies such as: manufacturing equipment; weapons systems; systems for processing materials; automotive systems; motorcycles; photocopiers, printers; and medical devices.
Mr. Smith is licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia and is a registered patent attorney.
Mr. Smith holds a juris doctor degree from the George Mason University School of Law and a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech.
