bioMETRX, Inc. Executes Patent Rights Extension Agreement

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Agreement Extends Company's Rights on Licensing and Enforcement of Key Intellectual Property

Jericho, NY -- bioMETRX, Inc., (OTCBB: BMRX), the leading developer of consumer-based finger activated products, today announced that it has executed a Patent Rights Extension Agreement in which bioMETRX acquired additional rights to one of the most important and broadest patents issued concerning embedded biometric devices. The extended rights will affect developers and resellers of embedded biometric devices that have developed, are considering the development of, or selling embedded biometric products. The patent contains claims including, but not limited to, a battery powered embedded biometric (fingerprint or iris scan) device that utilizes less than 1 watt of power to perform the biometric matching process. Currently, most embedded biometric products utilize less than 1 watt of power to perform matching functions as well as to operate additional devices such as relays and solenoids to work with garage door openers and door locks.

"This agreement is significant because it extends our intellectual property rights and clears our path to introduce biometric technology to additional vertical sectors. We have secured the right to prosecute infringement cases that violate those rights as well," noted Mark Basile, CEO at bioMETRX. "We expect this agreement to affect the dynamics of the embedded biometric industry. Being first to market with consumer based biometric products, and having broad patent rights, gives us the unique position to examine companies that have developed biometric products that currently infringe on our rights. We are going to use this opportunity to work with these companies as well as all fingerprint chip and iris biometric manufacturers to fuel the development and adaptation of this technology by original equipment manufacturers into everyday products," Mr. Basile went on to say.
