YOUnite Receives U.S. Patent for Distributed Management Framework for Personal Attributes

Technology Enables Global Information Exchange that Includes Both Consumers and Business

Mountain View, CA -- YOUnite has been awarded a patent to protect its unique solution for user-controlled information sharing. Information drives the digital world, but the challenge is to ensure that this data is accurate and available to only authorized parties.

YOUnite has created the solution: a patented, flexible, platform-independent and scalable technology for distributed information sharing. This will be the center of the information exchange for Web 3.0 and the future of the Internet.

This groundbreaking, patented technology enables an interchange to allow sharing of user-controlled information all over the Internet as well as across multiple devices -- seamlessly connecting people, communities, organizations and businesses. The technology allows users to create secure, personal- attribute and personal-preference data exchanges enabling businesses or individuals to securely distribute this information on a user-controlled and customized basis without having to store it on a centralized server. YOUnite technology ensures the data is secure, available, accurate and consistent across all environments and devices.

YOUnite, founded in 2005 by two experienced Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, allows users to share information such as shopping and travel preferences, medical data, social networking information and more -- without requiring the information to be centrally stored. This lack of a centralized storage is critical to data security, privacy and global acceptance. The technology allows users to create and manage their own risk profile scheme and is designed to scale in large, networked, distributed communities such as Google's OpenSocial, Facebook's FriendConnect and the VISA network. YOUnite was created to federate control schemas (such as personal security profiles) between communities, business entities and individuals.

"YOUnite will revolutionize the way that personal data is shared," said Tony Siress, YOUnite, Inc. CEO and co-founder.

The YOUnite platform could be used by companies ranging from large e-tail stores like Amazon to Visa and Mastercard or social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.

Mark Fitzpatrick, YOUnite, Inc. CTO and co-founder said, "Keeping people and organizations up-to-date with the information that you chose is a critical piece of the digital promise yet to be delivered. YOUnite gets us one step closer."

YOUnite plans to license this patented technology around the globe, enabling all these islands of information to "YOUnite". For further information visit: www.youniteinc.com.
