Deepro Mukerjee Joins Alston & Bird’s New York Office

New York, NY -- Alston & Bird LLP (www.alston.com) announced today that Deepro Mukerjee will join its New York office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Litigation Group. Mr. Mukerjee brings extensive experience in intellectual property offerings, including the prosecution, litigation and licensing of patents, in addition to counseling several bio-technology companies.

Prior to joining Alston & Bird, Mr. Mukerjee served as a partner in the intellectual property litigation group at Greenberg Traurig LLP in New York. In this role, he provided business and intellectual property counseling to a wide variety of clients and closed multimillion dollar deals for several bio-technology companies. While his academic background is in molecular and cell biology, Mukerjee also garnered extensive experience in litigating patents directed to a wide variety of technologies, ranging from diagnostic assays to electrical circuit interrupting devices.
Mr. Mukerjee received an A.B. from the University of Oxford, in addition to his B.S. and J.D. from Fordham University, where he served as the research and writing editor of the Fordham Environmental Law Journal.
