Intellectual Property Partner Joins Day Pitney in Boston

Boston, MA -- Day Pitney LLP announced today that Carrie Webb Olson has joined the firm’s Boston office as a partner in the Intellectual Property department. Ms. Olson comes to Day Pitney from Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP.
Ms. Olson is a well regarded trademark and copyright lawyer and focuses her practice on the selection, use, and protection of company trademarks, both in the United States and internationally. She represents clients from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies across a broad variety of industries, including financial services, electronic publishing, travel, nutritional supplement, health and wellness, and retail store services.
"Carrie is an outstanding trademark and copyright lawyer and a great addition to our IP department in the Northeast and firm wide," said Elizabeth Alquist, co-chair of the Intellectual Property department. "She is a skilled attorney with a strong client base who will add increased depth to an already well-established Trademark, Copyright and Internet group."
Ms. Olson is experienced in providing brand expansion guidance and advice and regularly represents clients involved in disputes before the United States Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board Courts and in the federal courts concerning trademark and copyright. She also has extensive experience with domain name disputes.

Ms. Olson is the second lateral partner to recently join the Day Pitney Boston office. In June, partner William S. Rogers Jr. joined the Boston office as a partner in the Commercial Litigation department. Mr. Rogers came from Greenberg Traurig.
