Nexxus Lighting Granted Three New Patents for Array Lighting

A Total of Six Design Patents Have Now Been Issued for the Array™ Product Offering
Charlotte, NC -- Nexxus Lighting, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEXS) today announced that it has been issued three new design patents related to its Array™ Lighting LED replacement light bulb product line. US Design Patent No. D600,837 – LIGHT (Par 38); US Design Patent No. D601,276 – LIGHT (Par 30) and US Design Patent No. D601,277 – LIGHT (MR16 G-10) cover the unique fin / air flow design, overall shape and LED configurations of the existing Array™ Par 30 and Array™ MR16 bi-pin and Array™ MR16 with a GU10 pin base lamp as well as the new state-of-the-art Par 38 which is expected to be introduced in 2010.
These designs along with several other patent pending technologies related to the products’ unique "selective heat sink – SHS technology" provide extensive intellectual property coverage for the company’s Array™ Lighting direct replacement LED product line used in commercial lighting applications including down lighting, track lighting, accent lighting and retail display lighting.
Nexxus Lighting now holds a total of 36 issued patents with 38 patents pending. Through its research and development efforts, Nexxus Lighting is continually evaluating new intellectual property ideas that have the potential to be incorporated into advanced solid-state light bulbs, lighting fixtures and control systems.
