Thursday, December 24, 2009

Hartford, CT -- The International Trademark Association (INTA) announced today that it has selected Cantor Colburn LLP partner Curt Krechevsky to serve on its Panel of Neutrals. INTA created the Panel as a part of its alternative dispute resolution program to resolve trademark and unfair competition disputes without litigation. Citing "experience and proven abilities," INTA selected Mr. Krechevsky to serve on this prestigious panel, and adds that the Cantor Colburn attorney, as a neutral, will make a "significant contribution" to alternative dispute resolution in the field of trademarks.

Curt Krechevsky is a partner and Chair of the Trademark & Copyright Department at Cantor Colburn. His practice focuses on trademark, unfair competition, copyright, rights of publicity and privacy, Internet, advertising, marketing, promotions, licensing, and trade secrets law. Mr. Krechevsky has represented businesses from a broad range of industries, including high-technology, entertainment, and consumer products. Prior to joining Cantor Colburn, Mr. Krechevsky was both in-house counsel and in private practice, handling national and international trademark and copyright matters. He is a frequent speaker and author on trademark and copyright issues. He served as a law clerk to Judge Zita L. Weinshienk, United States District Court, District of Colorado, in Denver, Colorado. He is admitted in Massachusetts and Colorado, as well as in various federal appeals and district courts. Mr. Krechevsky has a law degree from Harvard University and a bachelor’s in Political Science from Yale University.
