James E. Doroshow, Seasoned Trial Attorney, Joins Fox Rothschild

Los Angeles, CA – Fox Rothschild is pleased to announce that James E. Doroshow has joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation and Intellectual Property Departments, resident in the Los Angeles office.

"James has more than 30 years of practice in resolving a variety of disputes, and his depth of knowledge further broadens the level of services we provide to clients."
Doroshow focuses his practice on intellectual property and litigation matters. With more than 30 years of trial experience handling and resolving business litigation matters, including intellectual property disputes, Doroshow has litigated and tried cases involving patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade dress rights. His knowledge also extends to litigating construction defect, design defect and delay claims.
Doroshow has handled infringement matters including successfully defending a major motion picture studio in several significant disputes, including challenges to accounting practices and idea submissions cases brought by writers and others claiming copyright infringement. He has also successfully defended a number of national retailers in patent infringement and trade dress suits and represented national building code organizations in a trademark infringement suit involving rights to a family of trademarks and trade names.
In addition, Doroshow has served as lead counsel for one of the top 10 patent litigation settlements in U.S. history; secured a complete defense verdict in a trade dress suit against an automobile product manufacturer; and served as the lead trial counsel for an entertainment and publication client in one of the largest Section 337 actions before the U.S. International Trade Commission under the federal Tariff Act to exclude goods brought into the county in violation of U.S. patent laws.
He earned his J.D. in 1979 from Stanford Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He received his B.A. from Washington University in 1975, graduating magna cum laude. Prior to joining the firm, Doroshow was a senior trial attorney with Liner Grode Stein Yankelevitz Sunshine Regenstreif & Taylor LLP, and was previously with Baker & Hostetler.
