Fish & Richardson Adds Nine New Associates to Intellectual Property Litigation Group

Boston, MA – Fish & Richardson today announced that nine new associates have joined the firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Group. The new hires are part of a long-term strategic plan to continue building on Fish’s position as the premier patent litigation law firm in the world.
The new associates include: Michael Bittner (Dallas), J. Rodrigo Fuentes (New York), Carrie Ryan Gallia (Minneapolis), Christopher Hadley (Boston), Dr. Proshanto Mukherji (Boston), Jacob Oetama-Paul (Washington, D.C.), Lauren Murphy Pringle (Delaware), Christopher Smith (Dallas), and Joseph Warden (Delaware).
Michael Bittner (Dallas) previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable David Folsom, Chief Judge of the Eastern District of Texas. He received his J.D., honors, from the University of Texas School of Law in 2008 where he was the articles editor for The Review of Litigation. He received his B.A., high honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from The University of Texas in 2003. He is admitted to the bar in Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
J. Rodrigo Fuentes (New York) received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 2009, where he was the articles editor for Science and Technology Law Review. He received his B.S., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in electrical engineering from Yale University in 2006.
Carrie Ryan Gallia (Minneapolis) previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Carlos Bea, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Ms. Ryan Gallia received her J.D., summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2008, where she was a Managing Editor of the Minnesota Law Review. She received her M.F.A. from Columbia University School of the Arts in 1998 and her A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 1995.
Christopher Hadley (Boston) has been with Fish since 2002, holding a number of positions including law clerk and senior litigation paralegal. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School in 2009 and his B.S. in animal science from the University of Vermont in 1998.
Proshanto Mukherji, Ph.D., (Boston) received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2009, where he was the articles editor for the Harvard Law Review and Harvard Journal of Law and Technology. He received his Ph.D. (2006) and M.S. (2002) in computer science from the University of Rochester, and his B.S., summa cum laude, in computer science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2000.
Jacob Oetama-Paul (Washington, D.C.) previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable Arthur J. Tarnow, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and for the Honorable Franklin Burgess, Jr., Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Mr. Oetama-Paul received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2006 and his B.S. in molecular biophysics & biochemistry and religious studies from Yale University in 2003. He is admitted to the bar in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Lauren Murphy Pringle (Delaware) received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2009 where she was the Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Animal Law & Ethics. She received her B.A., magna cum laude, Order of the Cross and Crown, from Boston College in 2000. Before law school, Ms. Pringle was an entrepreneur who started and ran several of her own businesses.
Christopher Smith (Dallas) previously served as a law clerk for the Honorable T. John Ward, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Mr. Smith received his J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law in 2008. He received his B.S. in electrical engineering from North Carolina State University in 2001. Prior to law school, Mr. Smith was a global commodity quality manager at Dell and a development engineer. Mr. Smith is admitted to the bar in Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Joseph Warden (Delaware) received his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2009 where he was the Notes Development Editor for the Virginia Law Review. He received his B.A. from Brigham Young University in 2005. Before law school, he was a support engineer for Novell and an account manager for TestOut.
