Aliaswire Receives Notice of Allowance for a Fundamental U.S. Mobile P2P Payment Patent

Aliaswire’s innovation and leadership in mobile payment and mobile commerce are confirmed by allowance of U.S. patent
Cambridge, MA -- Aliaswire Inc., a leading provider of P2P, mobile, web, and voice-based payment solutions, has received a Notification of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its patent titled “Secure Authentication and Payment System.” The company holds counterpart issued patents in China, India, Australia, Singapore and South Africa.
With a priority date of July 2001, the patent has more than 40 claims covering a broad range of payment transactions such as P2P mobile payments, mobile funds transfers, and purchases that take place over wireless devices. The patent claims encompass Aliaswire’s comprehensive process for initiating payments through various mobile interfaces, including mobile applications that reside on a device connected to a telephone network; SMS text messages; or voice commands. In all cases, payment routing is completed in a payment network which may include ACH, EFT or credit card.
The company expects the patent to be issued within the next 60 days, and has filed two additional divisional patents on January 11, 2010, with a priority date of July 2001.
