BSKB Announces Dates for 2010 Advanced Patent Seminar

Falls Church, VA & San Diego, CA -- Birch, Stewart, Kolasch & Birch, LLP (BSKB) announced today that the Advanced Patent and Licensing Seminar (APLS) will be held September 27-October 8, 2010 in Falls Church, VA.
In BSKB’s Advanced Patent & Licensing Seminar participants review patentability standards and significant patent prosecution strategies in the U.S. patent system, and gain a more in-depth understanding of U.S. patent practice. The program includes workshops and problem solving exercises in order to illustrate the more advanced concepts with regard to patent prosecution, claim interpretation, and validity and infringement issues.
BSKB partner and APLS Chair Andrew D. Meikle stated, “We look forward to conducting our 14th Advanced Patent and Licensing Seminar and to welcoming a diverse group of patent professionals who desire to expand their understanding of advanced topics in U.S. patent law. We will do our best to ensure that attendees leave the seminar with a higher comfort level in addressing these complex issues with their U.S. patent counsel.”
The seminar is beneficial to anyone who is interested in increasing their knowledge about U.S. patent law. The class is limited to 30 students and typically, half are foreign patent attorneys and the other half in-house individuals who work for major international technology companies.
