Lando & Anastasi Announces New Intellectual Property Law Podcast Series

Cambridge, MA -- Lando & Anastasi, LLP (L&A), today announced the introduction of IP Counsel, a new intellectual property law podcast series which is part of the Legal Talk Network (www.legaltalknetwork.com) family of programs. “We’re thrilled to have IP Counsel, hosted by Attorney Peter Lando join our programming here at Legal Talk Network,” commented LTN President Lu Ann Reeb. “With intellectual property and patent issues becoming crucial to business practices globally, we think the information discussed by Peter and his guests will be key in many industry verticals.”
IP Counsel is a monthly program hosted by L&A partner Peter Lando, in which he and guest corporate IP counsel discuss current topics in intellectual property law and practice. The podcasts are directed to business people, corporate and general practice lawyers, students, and others who want more exposure to significant IP issues. “I am excited to have this opportunity with IP Counsel and its promise to expand understanding of intellectual property in the business and legal communities. This will be a unique podcast series, particularly with the value added by corporate IP counsel sharing their views on topical issues and practice,” noted Peter Lando.
The debut program features guest Gary C. Ganzi, Vice President of Intellectual Property for Siemens Water Technologies Corp. “I’m very pleased to have worked with Peter in getting IP Counsel off to a start,” commented Ganzi. “The concept behind the podcasts is terrific because not only will they serve as a useful intellectual property resource for business people and others, but the programs also will provide a forum for corporate counsel to share our perspectives on current happenings in the IP world,” he added.
In the initial podcast, Lando and Ganzi discuss patent eligible subject matter, with a close look at the recent U.S. Supreme Court holding in Bilski v. Kappos involving the patentability of business methods and its future impact.
Future programs will cover intellectual asset management and extracting value from IP; international patent licensing challenges and considerations; best practices in establishing a corporate IP department; and current issues in patent, trademark and copyright law and practice.
