Emeryville, CA -- Ravenflow, a leading provider of business process and requirements definition software, announced today that it has received a second patent award for its powerful natural language processing (NLP) engine. The patent, COMPUTER SYSTEM WITH NATURAL LANGUAGE TO MACHINE LANGUAGE TRANSLATOR (U.S. Patent No. 7,085,708), has now been granted from the country of India.
“We are continuing to protect and innovate around the RAVEN Language Engine, which underpins all of our business process and requirements solutions,” said David Ruiz, vice president of products at Ravenflow. “This extended patent recognition clearly demonstrates the unique nature of our products and the value that language-based analysis and visualization offers to business analysts everywhere.”
Ravenflow’s patented NLP technology uses a combination of semantic and syntactic processing to analyze process or use case narratives, automatically detect errors that lead to flawed requirements, and dynamically generate business process diagrams based upon the narrative. The RAVEN Language Engine can also be used to produce functional test scenarios and glossaries of common business terms, as well as other types of diagrams used to support business analysis and requirement elicitation for a variety of IT projects.
