Tuesday, November 02, 2010
St. Louis, MO -- CellCast Technologies, LLC ("CellCast"), announced today that its intellectual property development company EnvisionIT, LLC (“EnvisionIT”) has been issued its first patent by the US Patent Office. U.S. Patent No. 7,693,938, is entitled “Message Broadcasting Admission Control System And Method” - the admission control method and system provides for receiving, administering, managing, authorization, and transmission of the broadcast messages from agents to the originator geographically defined target areas and includes authentication with hierarchical authorizations.
This is the first patent to issue from a family of patent applications first filed by EnvisionIT in 2004 and 2005 that defined the basic infrastructure and operations of point to multi-point geo-targeted messaging systems, including emergency alerting systems such as the subsequently defined Commercial Mobile Alerting System (CMAS), as adopted by the Federal Communications Commission and the Department of Homeland Security, as well as future commercial/advertising message distribution systems.
This first issued patent is implemented by the CellCast Aggregator/Gateway message processing system, which provides the security processes required for message authentication, sender authorization, prioritization, accountability, and the enforcement of Trust Protocols (rules). The CellCast Aggregator/GatewayTM is marketed for a variety of applications including as a federal, state and regional aggregator/gateway for public interest message processing (both emergency and non-emergency) and commercial message processing.
“CellCast products and services are of great interest to mobile marketing companies, advertisers, government agencies and wireless carriers around the world. We are very excited about bringing our intellectual property to market and improving the security and delivery of emergency and commercial messages for both senders and recipients,” said Shayne Barr, Managing Director – CellCast.
CellCast also provides its EAGLE Alerts community messaging system and services to government, law enforcement, education and private corporations who require the ability to deliver messages via SMS text message, voice notification (landline or cell phone), email, or point to multi-point messaging such as cell broadcast (where available).
