ePIPE Team Awarded Patent for In-place Pipe Restoration and Leak Sealing System for Pipes

Las Vegas, NV -- Pipe Restoration Technologies, LLC (PRT), the parent of ACE DuraFlo® Systems, LLC, announced today that they have been awarded by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) patent #7,858,149.
This patent is focused on ePIPE technology that provides an internal barrier coating and seals leaks in pipes while the pipes remain in-place, preventing leaks without having to use conventional repair and repiping methods. This patent covers pipes used to carry potable water, natural gas, fire sprinkler systems and drains.

Recently, the ACE DuraFlo®, ePIPE® team was nominated for the US National Medal of Technology and Innovation.
The National Medal of Technology and Innovation is the highest honor for technological achievement bestowed by the President of the United States on America's leading innovators.
Supporters of the ePIPE nomination for this honor included Dr. Marc Edwards, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Virginia Tech. Dr. Edwards has been honored by the White House with a National Science Foundation Presidential Faculty Fellowship.
