Application Search & Download Patent Granted to Single Touch Interactive

San Diego, CA -- Single Touch Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: SITO), a national leader in voice, mobile retail messaging, and mobile marketing, announced that it has received another US Patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. US Patent no 7,865,181 titled “Searching For Mobile Content” relates to the method of searching for data or application(s) using a computer interface independent of the mobile device then wirelessly transmitting to the mobile device data corresponding to a search result. The recently issued patent was granted to the company’s founder Anthony Macaluso and assigned to the company.
In 2010 there were in excess of 4.5 billion application downloads and consumers spent more than $6.2 billion according to Gartner research. Single Touch has filed and been awarded more than 14 patents that relate to mobile commerce, advertising, and streaming media. Single Touch believes this patent is incredibly relevant to what’s happening today and going forward.
