USPTO Allows NivaSonix Core Patent

Carpinteria, CA -- NivaSonix, LLC announced today the allowance by the U. S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) of its core patent "External Ultrasound Lipoplasty". Nine additional U.S. and international patents are pending with additional patent filings in progress. The patent describes a technology that allows a new generation of non-invasive ultrasound therapy for both fat and wrinkle reduction targeted for patients worldwide.
NivaSonix has successfully developed a unique and differentiating way to selectively deliver ultrasound energy based on its proprietary "Sweeping Multizone Focus™" ("SMF™") technology. Fully functional prototypes have been built and tested to prove the concept, which has been confirmed via live animal and human tissue testing. Additional testing to support applications for domestic and international regulatory approvals is underway.
The NivaSonix ULLISYS™ system is based on a flexible and expandable product platform, designed for both skin tightening (wrinkle reduction) and lipoplasty (fat emulsification) – multi-billion dollar market opportunities.
