Advanced Refining Concepts Announces Issuance of Two Additional Patents Relating to the ClearRefining Fuel Technology
Wednesday, March 30, 2011
Sparks, NV -- Advanced Refining Concepts, LLC, (ARC), a privately held developer and manufacturer of proprietary motor and industrial fuels, today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued two patents to the company’s co-founders, Dr. Rudolf Gunnerman and Peter Gunnerman. The patents, no. 7,880,044 entitled “Conversion of Biogas to Liquid Fuels” and no. 7,897,124 entitled “Continuous Process and Plant Design for Conversion of Biogas to Liquid Fuel,” relate to the ClearRefining®technology, a method for producing clean liquid fuels through a unique low temperature, low pressure closed loop catalytic refining process. The two patents are in addition to an initial patent covering basic components of the ClearRefining® process, entitled “Liquid Hydrocarbon Fuel from Methane Assisted by Spontaneously Generated Voltage.”
ARC uses the ClearRefining® technology to manufacture GDiesel® in its 200,000 gallon per day Peru Heights Refinery located in northern Nevada. GDiesel® requires no modifications to engines or fueling infrastructure, is priced competitively and has been designated by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) as an alternative fuel. Recently, the company announced a contract to supply GDiesel® to the 1,400 diesel vehicle fleet operated by Clark County, Nevada – the state’s third largest fleet operator. To date, more than 10 million gallons of GDiesel® have been sold in the Northern Nevada and Las Vegas markets.
With the granting of these patents, Dr. Rudolf Gunnerman and Peter Gunnerman have 30 U.S. patents, as well as multiple international patents, in the field of clean alternative energy and fuels.
