Patterson & Sheridan, LLP, Adds Four New Attorneys to Houston Office

Patterson & Sheridan, L.L.P., an intellectual property law firm, has announced the addition of four new associates in the Houston office: Erik A. Knockaert, Donald B. O'Brien, Marcus W. Hammack, and Monique M. Raub.

Knockaert graduated cum laude with both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University. He received his J.D. from the University of Texas and was recently named to the 2007 Texas Super Lawyers Rising Star list. Prior to joining the firm, Knockaert was an Associate Attorney at the Houston firm, Porter & Hedges, LLP. At Patterson & Sheridan, Knockaert focuses his practice on enforcing intellectual property rights, including patents, copyrights, trademarks and trade secrets.

O’Brien obtained his bachelor’s degree in computer science as well as his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, and was previously an Associate Patent Attorney at Setter Roche, LLP, in Colorado. O’Brien concentrates on domestic and international patents in the fields of electronics and computer science.

Hammack received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University and his J.D. from Baylor University. His areas of practice include intellectual property licensing, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, patents, and trademarks. He joins Patterson & Sheridan from Naman, Howell, Smith, & Lee, L.L.P., in Waco.

Raub received her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Rice University and her J.D. from the University of Texas. She was previously an Associate in the Houston office of Beirne, Maynard & Parsons, L.L.P. Raub focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation.
