Darren A. Handler Joins Rader, Fishman & Grauer’s Bloomfield Hills Office as an Associate

Bloomfield Hills, MI – Darren A. Handler has joined the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan office of Rader, Fishman & Grauer PLLC, a leading national intellectual property law firm, as an associate. Rader, Fishman & Grauer develops strategies for maximizing the value of intellectual assets including patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets. Clients range from multinational corporations to emerging enterprises.

Handler’s practice will focus primarily on trademark prosecution and litigation, licensing, unfair competition, trade secrets and right of publicity.

Prior to joining Rader, Fishman & Grauer, Handler was a judicial intern at the U.S. International Trade Commission in the Office of the Administrative Law Judges in Washington, D.C. where he performed trademark and patent research in Commission investigations. He also worked in the advertising industry.

Handler is a member of the Michigan State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the Scribes Honorary Society and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Handler holds a master of laws in intellectual property from George Washington University Law School, juris doctor, magna cum laude, from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and bachelor of science from Ohio University. As a student, Handler authored journal articles on intellectual property and technology and was a judicial extern for the Court of Appeals in Ohio for the Sixth District and the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

He lives in Troy, Michigan.
