Online Content to Pass the Patent and Trademark Office Exam Now Available

New York, NY -- Aspen Publishers has launched new resources for all things patent, including a guided path to passing the Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) exam with online videos, blogs and a self-study tutorial program. The new Aspen Patent Authority features information for practicing attorneys in the field of intellectual property and now offers new PTO exam preparation online with the Longacre Patent Bar Review program, transforming studying for the patent bar examination into a customizable multi-media experience for attorneys and students. Aspen is part of Wolters Kluwer Law & Business, a leading global provider of information and software solutions in key legal and compliance specialty areas, as well as legal education resources for professors and students (www.aspenlaw.com.)

"Typically, someone sitting for the exam needs to spend an average of 150 hours preparing for this exam for success. Today’s future patent attorney or patent agent will be able to access Longacre Patent Bar Review from the Internet for ease of studying and efficiency,” said Jessica Keeney, Aspen Bar Program Manager. “Through Aspen Patent Authority, we are presenting an even wider array of resources for the practicing patent attorney."

Program author Jim Longacre has worked in patent law for over 30 years and has been a partner at two different multi-national law firms.

"I’ve already helped thousands of people pass this exam, and the Longacre Patent Bar Review is part of the wealth of content I have to offer in the area of patent law,” said Longacre. “We are creating social media communities, such as my blog, Twitter updates and a Facebook page to connect with patent professionals to provide the resources they need for passing the PTO exam and beyond.

The following program is now available from Aspen Publishers for $1,495.00:

  • Longacre Patent Bar Review
    • Longacre Patent Study Guide to the MPEP (Manual of Patent Examining Procedure)
    • Longacre Patent Practice Questions (Vol. 1 and Vol. 2)
    • Longacre Patent Simulated Exams
    • Longacre Video Program

Additional titles in the series will be available later this year in the form of mobile applications featuring instructional video and tutorial questions.

New Digital Patent Product Offerings Part of Continued Expansion of Aspen Publishers

The PTO exam is taken on a computer and busy attorneys and students wish to study with the same delivery method. With over 1,000 original questions and 30 hours of instructional video, this product delivers a guided studying program to prepare the customer for the content tested and the pacing skills necessary to succeed on the exam,” said Michael Gregory, Aspen National Bar Coordinator. “This is another example of strong content from a trusted source tailored to customer studying habits, with pricing that will not break the bank in today’s economy.
