Nathan P. Letts, Life Sciences Patent Attorney, Joins the Durham Office of The Eclipse Group LLP

Durham, NC -- The Eclipse Group LLP proudly announces that experienced life sciences patent attorney, Nathan P. Letts, Ph.D., has joined their Durham office as Senior Counsel. Dr. Letts has over fifteen years of patent experience with a focus in medicinal chemistry, biotechnology, and diagnostics.

Prior to joining The Eclipse Group, Dr. Letts was in-house counsel at diaDexus, Inc., a biotechnology company in South San Francisco, where he held several positions of increasing responsibility including Vice President, Intellectual Property and Licensing. Before diaDexus, he was an associate attorney in the biotechnology/pharmaceuticals group at Pennie & Edmonds LLP (now Jones Day) in New York City. Dr. Letts began his legal career as a scientific advisor at Cooper & Dunham LLP (New York City).
A graduate of Fordham University School of Law (J.D.), Columbia University (Ph.D., Organic Chemistry) and Hamilton College (B.A., Chemistry), Dr. Letts was an NSF/NIH pre-doctoral fellow and studied under Professor Ronald Breslow at Columbia. Dr. Letts is admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and New Jersey, New York and North Carolina bars.
