Fellowes, Inc. Files Patent Infringement Suit against ACCO Brands

Itasca, IL -- Fellowes, Inc. today announced that it has filed a patent infringement suit against ACCO Brands Corporation of Lincolnshire, Ill.

Fellowes’ suit alleges that ACCO Brands has infringed several patents covering paper shredder features including its Jam Proof technology. Fellowes alleges that ACCO Brands has incorporated these features in a large number of its shredder models. The ACCO Brands shredders are manufactured in China and sold primarily through commercial channels in the United States. In addition to these U.S. patents, Fellowes holds similar patents on its Jam Proof technology in multiple markets around the world.

In the lawsuit Fellowes seeks monetary damages arising from ACCO Brands' use of its Jam Proof technology and other patented features.
