Novak Druce Welcomes Marcus Hall to Firm

Continuing with its plan for strategic growth, Novak Druce Connolly Bove + Quigg LLP, the IP super boutique, announced that attorney Marcus T. Hall has joined the firm as a partner. He will practice out of the firm’s San Francisco and Los Angeles offices where he will focus on intellectual property litigation and complex commercial litigation.

“Many of us in the firm have come to know Marcus well over the years, and we are very pleased that our recent growth assisted in providing us with an advantage to attract Marcus and his clients to our national super boutique platform,” said Greg Novak, the firm’s Managing Partner and CEO. “Marcus is a strong, rising-star litigator for clients not only focused on our core IP litigation but also for clients involved in complex litigation, as well as other legal services incident to those types of litigation.”

Mr. Hall’s clients represent a diverse array of technology-related industries, including semiconductors and electronics, pharmaceuticals, mechanical, information technologies, biotechnologies, and aerospace. In addition to his reputation as an experienced litigator, Mr. Hall brings to Novak Druce a wealth of transactional knowledge in such areas as IP licensing and contract drafting and negotiation, patent and trademark portfolio counseling, insurance coverage counseling, including self-insurance entity formation, and patent and trademark prosecution.

Formerly a partner with Winston & Strawn LLP, Mr. Hall is a member of the California State Bar, United States Court of Appeals – Ninth Circuit and Federal Circuit, and the United States District Court – Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California.

Mr. Hall earned his law degree magna cum laude from the University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and was a member of the Thurston Society. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts fromCalifornia Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
