Perkins Coie’s Chicago Office Adds Patent Prosecution Capabilities

Dave Fournier Brings Significant Life Sciences and Patent Prosecution Experience to Firm
Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that David B. Fournier has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a Partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice. Fournier was most recently a Partner at K&L Gates LLP. Prior to entering private practice, Fournier spent several years working as a patent scientist and patent agent with Pfizer Inc. (formerly Pharmacia Corporation). While at Pfizer, he was responsible for the development and implementation of product lifecycle management strategies for several key products.

Fournier’s arrival follows a number of other additions to the firm’s intellectual property capabilities in Chicago, including Timothy Carroll, Matthew Carmody and Steven Lubezny, who joined the firm in February 2012 from Loeb & Loeb LLP.
Fournier earned his J.D., cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law; his M.S. in biotechnology from Northwestern University; and his B.A. in biology, cum laude, from Lake Forest College. He is licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
