USPTO to Hold Kansas Regional Independent Inventors Conference

Part of ongoing efforts to assist independent inventors and small business concerns
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will hold the Kansas Regional Independent Inventors Conference on April 19-20, 2013 at the National Aviation Training Center in Wichita, Kansas. The event, co-sponsored by the USPTO’s Office of Innovation Development and Wichita State University Center for Innovation and Enterprise Engagement, will feature senior USPTO staff, successful inventors, and seasoned entrepreneurs to provide attendees with expert advice, intellectual property (IP) information and resources.
As part of the USPTO’s ongoing efforts to assist independent inventors, small business concerns and university affiliated inventors, the conference will include presentations, workshops, a networking reception, and opportunities for attendees to have confidential, one-on-one advisory sessions with leading IP professionals.

- Bruce Kisliuk, Deputy Commissioner for Patent Administration, USPTO
- John Calvert, Acting Associate Commissioner for Innovation Development, USPTO
- Wayne Bell, District Director, U.S. Small Business Association
- A.J. Anderson, Director, U.S. Department of Commerce, Wichita District Office
