Cook enhances the firm’s global patent litigation capabilities
WilmerHale is pleased to announce that Trevor Cook is expected to join the firm as a partner as of January 1, 2014 in its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group in New York. Mr. Cook will concentrate his practice on intellectual property litigation internationally. He brings 35 years of experience in global patent litigation, particularly in Europe and Asia.
“I have found a new home in WilmerHale, which is regarded in Europe as a preeminent force in the U.S. IP litigation market,” said Mr. Cook. “I very much look forward to being a part of this group of talented professionals and helping to extend the firm’s presence in Europe and Asia.”
“Trevor is a highly-regarded practitioner who is uniquely positioned to strengthen our IP Litigation Practice Group as we look to expand that practice outside of the United States,” said Susan Murley, WilmerHale’s co-managing partner.
Mr. Cook joins WilmerHale from Bird & Bird LLP in London, where he was a partner in the Intellectual Property Group and co-head of the International Life Sciences Sector Group. “Mr. Cook’s extraordinary skill and experience will be invaluable to our clients as intellectual property litigation increasingly takes on global dimensions,” noted Mark Selwyn, co-chair of WilmerHale’s IP Litigation Practice Group.
Mr. Cook is a prolific author, having written numerous articles and books during his career.
