Honigman Partner Noel E. Day, Ph.D. Honored by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as ’’Up and Coming’’ Lawyer

Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP is pleased to announce that Noel E. Day, Ph.D., a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department has been named one of 26 Michigan Lawyers Weekly’s “Up and Coming” lawyers. The honorees are lawyers who have practiced for less than 10 years and have established a name for themselves and displayed the ambition, drive, determination and accomplishments that set them apart among their peers.

Day, who has a technical background in immunology and molecular biology, is a member of Honigman’s Patent Practice Group. She assists clients with U.S. and international patent filings and assessing the value of patent estates. Day also has extensive experience in conducting patentability and freedom to operate reviews for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. In addition, she prosecutes global intellectual property portfolios on behalf of universities and private companies. Day recently was named by Michigan Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star.”

She earned a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law and received a B.A. and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Tennessee. Day finished her graduate studies in Japan at a world-renowned natural science research institute, RIKEN Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, where she was a National Science Foundation, Dissertation Enhancement Fellow.
