Robert A. McKinley, Prominent U.S. Patent, Trademark, Copyright And Litigation Attorney, Joins Growing Boutique Law Firm Serving Clients Nationwide – and Abroad
Lauletta Birnbaum is pleased to announce the addition of prominent intellectual property lawyer, Registered U.S. Patent Attorney and litigator, Robert A. McKinley, as a member of the firm.

McKinley isa seasoned intellectual property lawyer with over 15 years’ experience spanning the full gamut of intellectual property law, including corporate branding, trademarks, patents, copyrights, trade secrets, and unfair competition law. Robert works with his clients to maximize the value of their intellectual property assets through cooperative business agreements or, if necessary, litigation.
McKinley is a degreed Electrical Engineer with expertise in the mechanical, electrical and computer arts, which includes mechanical and electromechanical devices, telecommunications, computer hardware and software, wireless devices and systems, business methods, analog and digital circuits, power and lighting systems, and medical devices, among other things. Robert’s technical experience in engineering and design includes positions at Vitro Corporation, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, and UNISYS Corporation.
McKinley joins Lauletta Birnbaum from RatnerPrestia, an intellectual property boutique firm and previously chaired the Intellectual Property Department at Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg and was a partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis in Philadelphia. McKinley has made several presentations sponsored by the Philadelphia Bar Institute, and the Joint Patent Practice Seminar of the Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Associations, and has contributed to the book, Inside the Minds: Intellectual Property Licensing Strategies 2012 ed. Robert is a graduate of Widener University School of Law (J.D. with honors in appellate and trial advocacy, 1998). His undergraduate degree is from Drexel University (B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1992).
