Ms. Boroumand Smith Becomes First Woman to Lead Firm’s Second Largest Office

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton announced today that it has named Mehrnaz Boroumand Smith the new managing partner of the firm’s San Francisco office. “I am excited about the opportunity to be the next managing partner of our firm’s San Francisco office,” said Mehrnaz Boroumand Smith. “Kilpatrick Townsend is and has been a great place to work. Over the past 16 years, I have been fortunate to work with some of the best legal minds in our profession who all knew the importance of providing the highest quality legal work, unsurpassed client service, and offering an inclusive environment to pursue a legal career. I will work hard to continue this proud legacy for the firm and our clients. I also want to express my deep gratitude to Paul Haughey for his strong dedication to excellence in leading the San Francisco office the past three years.”

Kilpatrick Townsend also announced today that Audra Dial will be the managing partner of the firm’s Atlanta office. Both of Kilpatrick Townsend’s largest offices are now led by women.

Ms. Boroumand Smith focuses her practice on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation matters. Her experience includes representing high technology companies in litigation regarding claims of patent, copyright, and trademark infringement, as well as breach of contract, breach of warranty, fraud, unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets. Ms. Boroumand Smith has represented clients in a variety of fields and industries, including software, hardware, semiconductor, IT outsourcing, communications, laser, retail, video gaming, arts and crafts, and toys.
